How To Fix Mic On Fortnite Pc

Mic doesn't work on Fortnite PC

For some reason my mic doesn't work on Fortnite (PC, Windows 10). I can find the 'push to talk' setting but when I try to use it, nothing happens. When playing PUBG the mic works fine. Anyone else having this problem or having a fix? Would be appreciated!

I found a fix (at least for me)

Note: This works for me in windows 10 64 bit

Open Fornite and DISABLE voice chat. Then close Fornite.
Search "Sound" in windows search.
In the "Recording" tab, choose the device you want to use. Right click and set as "Default Device"
DISABLE EVERY OTHER INPUT DEVICE EXCEPT THE ONE YOU WANT TO USE. (if you have any other output devices, repeat for playback tab).
Open Fornite again and ENABLE voice chat again.
Test by joining a squad or duo.

Edit: I've had this issue for around a month and this was the only thing I found on all of the internet that fixed it.

I've seen all of your videos and sadly I still haven't been able to find a fix...

I have the same problem but it's weird. If I'm in a game with a friend it works fine, but if in a game with randoms it doesnt work.

same if i play fill it only works for the first game. it hasnt always been this way. but at least i can still talk to friends

does it work if you set it to open mic instead of ptt?

you mean turning ptt off and leaving voice chat on? If so, then unfortunately no

Have you figured it out? I am having the same issue. Everything is enabled, set to default, game detects, but cant get it working in game at all. The Mic. Everything else is fine.

No man, didn't manage to fix it unfortunately... Many people are having the same issue according to multiple forums so I guess there's no solution (yet).
